Lifting angle iron to be cut

On [REDACTED] Maintenance Employee was lifting an angle iron with another employee to load it on the rollers in order to cut in pieces. As he placed the angle iron on the roller his right-hand middle finger got pinched between the roller and angle iron. Initially employee did not think it was a big deal told supervisor about incident next day on [REDACTED] refused medical attention when offered by supervisor and went on to his regular duties. But as days passed by he found himself in more pain and his finger started to swell up and bruise. He called off to work on [REDACTED] claiming reason as his work related injury happened on [REDACTED].. He was asked to RTW and upon his return he was sent to the occupational health clinic for evaluation on [REDACTED]. Clinic diagnosed his injury as fracture and released him on restricted work.
