Before the incident
I was moving patients from the 2nd floor observation overflow to the 5th floor since the unit was closing down. In the process another technician needed help lifting sliding a patient up in bed.
What happened
My self and another technician lifted up a heavy patient in bed to boost them up in bed. I felt that the weight was uneven and since we only used a chuck to lift up the patient I felt a pull and sharp pain in my surgical site.
