EE was removing a pump from a lift Station

The employee was pulling a pump from the lift station at [REDACTED]. The pumps are approximately 15 feet down & they run on guide rails. The employee was using an electric winch to remove the pump so he can clean out the flute. As he was lowering the pump back into the lift station the pump got hung up. He tried to raise it back up that 's when the winch cable broke. The employee had the chain which is used to remove the pump. The pump fell & the employee was able to catch the pump with the chain but when he did the pump jerked his arm.
