Transfering Blood Into Another Container
What happened
The PCA approache the RN Nurse outside the patient 's room in the hall. The nurse was obseved collecting blood specimens she was utilizing a transfer device to collect the blood. While performing this procedure the tubing popped open splashing blood across my uniform and into into my eye. Employee flushed out the eye on the unit and changed her clothing. Employee was sent to the ED for assessment evaluation.
