Before the incident
This RN obtained a vbg specimen using an ABG kit from patient line. Syringe was capped with provided covered needle and placed to the side while all other labs were drawn. This RN attempted to remove capped needle and place needless cap on syringe after expelling air from the syringe. This RN reached to grab the capped needle from the syringe and the cap fell off. This RN was stuck in the R 3rd finger.
