Aligning a piece of stainless steel tubing in the Autoloader.
What happened
The operator placed his hand in the path of a stainless steel piece of tubing that was being pushed by an automated feed system. His finger was caught in a pinch point between a guide wheel and the moving piece of 3 4 pipe. As he pulled his hand away the sharp edge of the pipe cut his little finger.
Injury or illness
A laceration to the right little finger sliced at a diagonal to the backside of the fingernail and fractured the bone.
