Adjusting mitten due to patient attempting to remove it

Patient constantly combative and swearing. Patient moved body downwards to be able to use head as weight on top of the mitten and pulling arm downward to attempt to remove mitten. Sitter redirected patient to discontinue activity. Right mitten became noticeably loose and coming off. Sitter attempted to adjust mitten and patient kicked sitter in right upper chest. Sitter used call light to notify staff. Patient then attempted to remove left mitten and sitter walked on the left bedside to adjust mitten. Nurse entered room and requested sitter to step to the side to call and request for more staff to assist and deescalate. Patient remained combative and swearing towards nurse while awaiting staff to assist.
