What happened
Employee stated he was down-stacking units as part of normal operations when a bungee strap became caught on another tote. He exited the forklift to assess the issue and observed the totes were secured together by the strap. Unable to separate the units manually due to the weight he used a knife to cut the strap. Upon cutting the strap a tote fell onto his hand and as he withdrew his hand the tote caused a skin avulsion to the top of his hand.
