Employee walked into patient room identified herself and explained why she was there patient confirmed ID and when she began to draw blood on her she told her she was about to stick her the patient pulled her arm away causing the employee to stick herself in the left middle finger. She did have gloves on; she removed the gloves and washed her hands. The needle stick did bleed temporarily.
