What happened
RN reported to charge nurse (this writer) that she was administering a Heparin shot to a patient. As she inserted the needle the patient was startled and jumped causing the needle to come out of his skin and enter her L hand index finger. She immediately reported the incident to this writer. This writer notified house supervisor.
