What happened
i [REDACTED] entered room 617 the patient at the time was [REDACTED]. I told the patient i was coming to get his vital signs. I reached to grab the blood pressure cuff off the side rail on the bed and the patient reached back and struck me on the right side of my face with his palm fist. which is a closed fist but hit with the inside of the hand instead of the straight on fist. i grabbed my face and as i reached for my face the the patient grabbed my arm and started twisting it causing a burning sensation. I looked over at his wife lying on the bed next to him and asked her could she get him to let me go she never replied so i just kept pulling until the patient finally released my arm and went to the nurses station to inform the nurse on what had just happened.
