placing used insulin needles into sharps container
What happened
after giving an insulin injection the needle was capped using the safety cap that clicks into place.the cap clicked into place and the safety lock engaged. However the needle was bent out and poked through the safety lock.when placing the needle into the sharps container it poked through my glove and into my left index finger.i immediately washed the site in warm soapy water.
