Before the incident
Removing a painted awning from the fixture to place into a shipping box.
What happened
Four employees (listed in the witness section) and [REDACTED] were lifting an awning from the paint fixture to put back in the shipping box. The awning started to roll after it was removed from the fixture and in doing so bent [REDACTED] four fingers and wrist backwards. A popping sound was heard and his hand and wrist started to swell and turn red. An ice pack was immediately applied and employee was sent to the clinic for evaluation. The clinic subsequently sent the employee to the ER.
