Before the incident
Exiting outbound trailer with cart of loaded parts for realignment
What happened
A reach truck driver entered the bulk dock area and stopped at dock door 18. The driver noticed a part on the pallet they were transporting shifted and was about to fall so they stopped to adjust the part pallet. At the same time the dock employee was entering door 18 to load the trailer with a full cart of parts. The dock employee then began to pull the loaded cart out of the trailer to realign it. During this time the employee did not see the reach truck behind them. This caused their foot to hit the truck. Employee could not stop the cart of parts they were pulling out of trailer in time which cause it to smash their foot between the reach truck and cart of parts.
