What happened
On [REDACTED] at [REDACTED] at [REDACTED] a vehicle accident with injury occurred while an SSP employee was returning from lunch in their POV. The employee was entering the [REDACTED] parking lot when the Active Vehicle Barrier was raised under their POV. This caused damage to the vehicle and the airbags to deploy resulting in an injury to the employee’s arm. The ERT responded and their initial assessment was that the employee’s arm was broken fractured. WorkCare was contacted. The employee was being taken to the clinic for evaluation. The employee was seen at the clinic where X-rays taken (negative for fractures) and they were diagnosed with a strain.
