Employee was moving pallets with a powered industrial truck.
What happened
the employee was moving 9 pallets with the forklift . As she raised the pallets they struck the pallets stacked behind it and they fell onto the forklift. As the pallets fell the employee said they raised their hand over their head for extra protection. (employee was wearing all PPE including a hard hat). With this action eye witnesses report that she either raised her hand out above the roll cage or out the side of the roll cage. This motion allowed a pallet to come into contact with her left index finger and spread her finger further than her hand allowed resulting in a tear to her hand.
