Transferring patient from gurney to hospital stretcher
What happened
The initial incident occurred when I was assisting EMS transfer a Pt on arrival to Emergency Department by EMS from the EMS gurney to a hospital stretcher. We two EMS staff and one other St. Luke 's staff used a slider board and transfer lift sheet. My role was to lift using the transfer sheet the pt away from my body and onto the stretcher.
