Removing needle from port and was poked
What happened
Was removing a gripper needle from a port that was rather stubborn and when it came loose somehow my R thumb slipped and the needle punctured it. After site dressed immediately washed my thumb with soap and water. Bled for about 3 minutes - pressure applied. . Huer needle is a BARD product without needle safety feature that I know of.
