[REDACTED] is an RN cross training to the Scrub Nurse role. At the end of the case while closing the incision [REDACTED] was placing a dirty suture needle into the needlesharps box and accidentally hit her finger and felt a 'prick '. We paused and did not contaminate anything else. She notified the team specifically her preceptor and she then safely removed the sharp from the field and doffed her sterile attire.
