Before the incident
Employee was cleaning up warehouse. A roll of roofing membrane needed to be loaded on a truck. the membrane roll was laying on the floor and needed to be put on a pallet so it could be loaded in truck latter.
What happened
WHILE TRYING TO LIFT ONE OF THEM ONTO THE PALLET THEY POSITIONED ONE FOOT ON THE GROUND AND ONE FOOT ON THE PALLET TO GAIN LEVERAGE. AS [REDACTED] BENT OVER TO LIFT THE ROLL THEY TWISTED AND FELT A SUDDEN SHARP PAIN IN THEIR LOWER BACK. THEY WAS ABLE TO GET THE ROLL ABOUT HALFWAY ONTO THE PALLET BUT HAD TO STOP DUE TO THE PAIN THEN ROLLED THE PVC BACK OFF THE PALLET AND LEFT IT IN PLACE.
