What happened
Employee assigned to mow the right-of-way on the right shoulder. While operating the tractor accidentally bumped into the delineator post that marked a drain. He stopped the equipment and got out of the tractor to manually straighten the post. After successfully straightening it he took a step back and fell into the uncovered drain landing upright in the drain basin. Managed to climb out of the drain without assistance. The drain was 8-10 ' deep and my arms hit the sides of the main hole opening forcing them upwards.
