An HE tech was assisting maintenance in checking the splice on the batch elevator The HE tech was assisting with the belt when batch fell down the chute and struck both of his forearms Supervisor and EHS was called the employee was brought to the first aid room Due to swelling and severe pain the call was made to transport to the local ER The employee was Xrayed no broken bones swelling was tracked for compartmental syndrome it was ruled out Employee was released the same day with a prescription
