What happened
Employee States: Employee was placing product into the blast chiller and closing the door to begin the chilling process. Upon closing the door they employee 's hand got caught in the buckle that latches it shut and their finger was jammed in the door. The employee shouted in pain and the responding manager happened to be within ear shot and came immediately to check in on the employee. In the moment the employee felt the pain was not too bad and put it on ice. They say that the ice did not really help so they took it off ice after a short time. At this point their shift was almost over and they went back and finished their shift.
