What happened
Employee heard a noise and turned to look and make sure a vehicle was not entering the work area. At that same time a log being lifted slipped out of the grapple bucket on the boom truck it fell and ricocheted off the bridge rail striking the employee in the left foot just above the safety toe on his boots.
