THE INJURED EMPLOYEE WAS HOLDING A RETRACTOR DURING A GYN PROCEDURE AND THE SURGEON WAS MOVING THE SCALPEL FROM THE BACK TABLE TO THE FIELD TABLE TO CONTINUE THE PROCEDURE. THE SURGEON ACCIDENTALLY HIT THE INJURED EMPLOYEE 'S LEFT UPPER ARM WITH A CONTAMINATED SURGICAL BLADE.
