What happened
The patient 's LOC decreased significantly Rapid Response called. ABG attempted the pt swung at me involuntarily. Pulled the needle out and engaged the needle safety lock. Pt need to be intubated. I grabbed my abg supplies and went to put them in the sharp box and the needle safety lock had unlocked and stuck my thumb. Gloves were still on and bleed into my glove. new gloves placed and intubated the pt.
