What happened
Drawing blood from pt right antecubital vein with a green 21 gauge butterfly needle. One nurse was holding his shoulder and another was holding his wrist area to prevent him from moving. I was switching blood tubes out when the patient twisted his arm and needle came out of his vein and landed on my right hand by my thumb. Needle stuck me through my glove near the base of my thumb.
