What happened
Employee reported to maintenance that a metal stopper at the end of the line was fractured and required welding. Prior to the arrival of the Maintenance department the employee initiated attempts to independently repair the damaged section of the equipment. She removed the metal stopper and used a roll of tape to temporarily secure the stopper in the area. While trying to move the metal stopper back into place to fix the machine the residual pressure of the plastic pallets forced the stopper down where her right thumb got stuck between the two metal parts.
