What happened
Was in OR 3 in the beginning stages of the surgery and the surgeon asked for the harmonic device. I handed him the device and he needed to go into a different port and the cord was tangled so he was trying to untangle it so I went to assist him when I noticed the harmonic was close to me so I moved my hand back and when I did he moved it forward and he accidentally stabbed my hand with the sharp tip going through my both sets of the my gloves stabbing me in my left thumb at the inner base. I dropped scrub and went and washed my hands because there was a cut with blood on it.
