After dumping his load at the landfill he proceeded to clean behind the packer blade. During the clean-out process he noticed a black trash bag wedged between the cylinder and the bulkhead of the packer body. He attempted to remove the debris using a shovel but the bag could not be dislodged. He then attempted to pull the bag by hand while wearing gloves. During this attempt an unknown object inside the bag punctured his left middle finger causing the injury.
