What happened
A temporary worker assigned to AQL duties was descending a portable A-Frame ladder when the employee states she missed two rungs and fell to the floor landing incorrectly on her left knee ankle. First aid was administered using ice pack and elevation. Incident was documented in the supervisors office first aid log. The employee returned to work the following day. 10 3 the employee was asked how she was doing and in conversation she mentioned that she went to the clinic after the fact. Being a newer temp employee the medical treatment reporting was delayed due to the confusion. The physician prescribed over-the-counter strength pain medication in addition to prescription pain medication resulting in a OSHA recordable injury.
