While starting [REDACTED] from OLT an operator trainee was feeding sheet down the grinder chute from the floor level while wearing gloves When pushing bunched sheet down the chute the trainee felt their finger bend They reported there was no pain or discomfort noted at the time Shortly after they removed their glove and noticed that their right ring finger was abnormally bent at the first knuckle and they were unable to straighten the joint Trainee reported after line was started to PSL First responder without pain or additional care needed At appx [REDACTED] they reported that they wanted to seek medical attention and had begun feeling pain in their finger
