Before the incident
Employee was operating the slitter machine and changing out the blade to transfer to a new material.
What happened
Employee was changing the tooling on the machine changing the cutting plates. As he was tightening the bolts by hand the rolls were rotating very slowly. As he was tightening the bolts his finger got pinched between the two rotating nuts. He as able to pull his finger out from between the nuts however the injury resulted in lacerations to both sides of his index finger.
