Before the incident

AE was clearing a material miss feed fault on [REDACTED] 51. After opening the interlock door the AE had depressed the jog button to advance the welders and button placer into a position that the material miss feed could be removed. After removing the material the AE depressed the job button a second time when they noticed additional material still present. The AE released pressure from the jog button with their left and then proceed to remove the material with their right hand but accidently depressed the jog button simultaneously resulting in pinching their pinky finger between the button placer and metal plate on top of the button placer. AE sought medical attention from OHN and OHN instructed AE to seek medical attention beyond first aid (ER).
