What happened
The employee attempted to lift a section of pipe from the ground with no gloves. The employee lifted one end of the pipe standing it up and then attempted to lift the pipe by grabbing at the bottom with the left hand. The top end of the pipe slipped out of the right hand grip causing the pipe to drop down on to the left hand fingers.
