picking up vocera

I was asked to cover ER phlebotomy While attempting to get set up I could not get my lanyard to connect to the vocera I do not typically struggle with this I applied more force and somehow hyperextended my fingers and or punched the counter I immediately felt pain and coworkers could see my hand swelling I notified cameron kinieker and needed her to connect the lanyard to the vocera since I could not do so It was suggested that I go and draw blood since moving a jammed finger around can be helpul I tried icing it but had difficulty doing phlebotomy and taking gloves on off I was then told by coworkers that the vocera I had was broken and part of it was taped together It required a piece be moved when connecting to a lanyard or something I went ot urgent care at around [REDACTED] Not specified
