I filled out the wrong owl format before The incident occurred during a myringotomy with ear tube insertion in OR suite 1 I was transferring the myringotomy blade from my left hand to my right hand I misjudged the angle I was holding it at and stuck my right hand with the used blade I saw blood on my glove instantly informed the room that I had just stuck myself with the blade immediately stepped away and discarded the dirty sharp on a separate table On my way to wash the site I called the charge nurse on vocera to inform them of what happened and that we would need another scrub to step in to finish the case I washed the site with soap water and betadine for over five minutes Not specified
