What happened
preparing to replace a winch cable for a roll off truck. He had obtained the new cable from the parts department and wheeled it down to his bay. When these cables are shipped they are banded in the coiled position because they are long and hard to maneuver. As he cut the banding material the cable started to unroll and the loose band clamp jumped and the edge nicked his left middle finger causing an approximate quarter in laceration.
