Before the incident
The engineer was outside the sifter room awaiting their counterpart to obtain a forklift. The sifter room has a railing blocking the entrance to prevent damage to the roll up door to enter the room. The railing was roughly 12ft long 2 inches wide and weighed approximately 60lbs. While waiting the engineer had unbolted the railing from the support brackets on either side.
