Verifying proper operation of aircraft lav Dump

Tech was called out for consult as Ground Service was having trouble dumping the aircraft lav. Tech had a bucket up for precautionary and when he opened the flapper valve a small amount of lav waste hit the bucket and splashed out onto his face and upper body. The valve operated normal and no writeup necessary. The Tech verbally told the supervisor that he got splashed by some of the lav waste but the aircraft operated normally. The technician cleaned himself up and continued working for the rest of the day without incident. Tech went on his two day weekend and returned to work for 2 days. On [REDACTED] [REDACTED] days after being splashed he went to the Urgent Care and discovered he had Pink Eye. The doctor asked him a series of questions and told him he was not to return to work until [REDACTED]. The doctor told the tech that the lav spill could have been a contributing factor in his catching Pink Eye.
