What happened
Employee was using a chisel and hammer to remove melted plastic from inside the hopper of a material dryer. While striking the chisel the plastic dislodged causing his arm to make contact with the inside metal edges of the hopper. Employee was wearing padded gloves when holding the chisel but no arm protection.
