Before the incident
The employee was assisting with the installation of a load chain on the edger and was turning the infeed drive pulley by hand While rolling the belt the employees left pinky finger and adjacent finger was caught between the pulley and belt The employee stopped the pulley and reversed it to free his fingers Bleeding was not noticed until the glove was removed The employee immediately rinsed the wound with water and then notified the lead to report the incident Employee was then escorted to Health Services for care No blood was present at the work area it was contained inside the glove
