What happened
On [REDACTED] EE was working flight 5198 DCA at [REDACTED]. At approximately [REDACTED] EE was loading bags into bin 3. EE successfully loaded the first 8 bags but due to a 40-minute delay EE stopped loading the bin. EE returned [REDACTED] to load the remaining 7 gate check bags. While lifting the third to last bag EE turned to their right and felt a sudden give in their hip. EE struggled to stand back up but managed to come out of the bin. EE continued to experience pain in lower back and right hip. EE was having difficulty bending down or sitting down. EE located OSMs on duty and notified them of the injury. VAT was closed and not contacted. EE was provided ice for their hip. EE continued to experience extreme pain and OSM decided to take her to Brier Creek Wake Medical Center.
