What happened
EE sustained a lower back strain injury while setting up for cabin service. EE was working in the aft galley in the aisle position and began to move the beverage cart out of the galley and in to the aisle shortly after sterile cockpit per service standards. As EE rotated the cart out of the galley and into the aisle the aircraft was still in its climb phase. The angle of the climb made the cart difficult to maneuver and during the turning motion EE felt a sharp strain in lower back. The pain continued throughout the flight and worsened with any twisting turning bending or lifting. Each movement caused sharp pain and pressure in lower back making it difficult to perform normal inflight duties.
