Before the incident
While pulling ribbons off of aborted hazard tree units employee had a fixed blade knife attached to belt to cut their way out of some vines to get in to pull the tag off a tree.
What happened
Employee unsheathed the knife to dry and oil it after use; the cover was sticky and the knife jammed as they removed it and caught on left index finger causing a cut.
