What happened
At approximately [REDACTED] an EE was working at the clinch nut press installing clinch nuts on heat shields. The feeding mechanism malfunctioned and the EE had to manually align the nut with their fingers. While aligning the nut properly the EE accidentally activated the press part of the machine and pinched their finger causing a cut to the middle finger of the left hand. The operator was wearing the required PPE.
