Employee was assisting other staff during a client escalation.

A client was in a 2-person seated PPI. As Employee approached to capture legs and implement leg stabilization below the knee client kicked Employee on the left side of their head. Once Employee successfully captured the client 's legs the client struggled against the hold resulting in Employee 's left middle knuckle being ground into the floor.

Closed head injury bruising and swelling on left middle knuckle

Supervisor reminded staff to keep arms and hands out as a barrier while capturing legs to prevent the chance of client making contact with employee. Team will continue to conduct OIS refreshers.
