Driving her wheelchair van back to [REDACTED]

Noticed a strong noxious odor coming from somewhere in the van. Reported odor rolled down windows and drove to base. Employee reported that the odor kept getting stronger. Odor determined to be a vehicle battery located under driver 's seat was shorting out and was extremely hot when discovered by maintenance.
