Before the incident
I was collecting all the sharps from the field after a procedure in room D.
What happened
As I was collecting all the sharps post procedure the lidocaine syringe with the attached subcutaneous needle fell from the sharps receptacle onto table. The syringe flipped with the needle facing up piercing the skin of my 3rd knuckle on left hand.
