Getting ready to sit at the IV hood station to prepare medications.

Was working in the IV sterile room. While getting ready to sit on a stool at the workstation it rolled out from under me. As I was falling I grabbed for the hood table to brace myself but continued to fall backwards with all my weight and felt my pain in my left shoulder. I landed on the ground with my right elbow and felt pain. The cleaner for the floor that we use daily can sometimes leave a residue and was a bit slippery that morning. Within two hours elbow was bruised sore and swollen. My shoulder feels like something pulled or tore and range of motion has limited. I will be icing the area on my lunch break as well as taking some Ibuprofen for pain and swelling.

Bruise Contusion (Elbow - Right) Sprain Strain (Shoulder - Left)

Fall Accidental Slip Trip
